Serving on the School Committee is both rewarding and challenging. I know firsthand how tough the decisions can be—balancing what’s best for students with fiscal responsibility, listening to every perspective, and leading with integrity. I haven’t always gotten it right, but I’ve learned that what matters most is staying focused on our kids and working together to make the best choices for our schools.
It is with this understanding that I have decided to support Alexa Anderson and Sandeep Pisharody for School Committee.
Alexa has served honorably for five years, always putting students at the center of every discussion. She has worked tirelessly to secure responsible teacher salary increases—honoring our world-class educators while remaining mindful of taxpayers. She played a key role on the Middle School Building Committee, ensuring we deliver an exceptional, environmentally friendly school while keeping costs in check. A proud graduate of CCHS and a parent in our schools, Alexa brings a deep commitment to this community. She collaborates, listens, and leads with thoughtfulness and care. She deserves another term.
Sandeep brings a fresh perspective with a strong foundation in collaboration and problem-solving. A leader in data analytics at MIT’s Lincoln Lab, he understands how to ask the right questions and get to the heart of complex issues. His involvement in the Thoreau School PTG and service on the Concord Ed Fund board show his dedication to education. As a parent, he is committed to ensuring our schools remain strong for all students.
Our schools need leaders who listen, work together, and put students first. Alexa and Sandeep embody these values. I hope you’ll join me in supporting them.
