Sandeep and I met at a community coffee held by our Police Department and DEI Commission and I was struck by his warm, outgoing demeanor. I have since had more individual, in-depth conversations with him and continue to be impressed with his intelligence, passion, and vision for education.
Sandeep comes from a family of educators, instilling in him the value of a good education. His volunteering with the Concord Ed Fund and being a member of the Thoreau Parent Teacher Group demonstrate this. His belief in service and giving back are further illustrated in his involvement in youth soccer and desire to be a member of our school committee. He recognizes the importance of access to quality education for all and teaching to the whole child. He will advocate for comprehensive mental health resources, culturally rich curricula, and necessary support systems helping every child thrive. As a retired educator, I understand the significance of this.
The majority of us in Concord no longer have children in the schools and may be less aware of the developments within this valuable town asset. Forging a strong partnership between our schools and the larger community is important to Sandeep and he believes this can be achieved through accountability and open dialogue. Additionally, he recognizes the numerous and varied needs of our town and the importance of fiscal responsibility, needing to collaborate with other town departments.
Dr. Pisharody brings valuable work experience in innovation and problem solving skills to the table. His extensive background in technology will be an asset for preparing our students for success in the future. This coupled with his calm manner and vision for a strong education for all students make him an excellent candidate. Please join me in voting for Dr. Sandeep Pisharody!
