I am writing to enthusiastically recommend Sandeep Pisharody for the Concord-Carlisle School Committee. Sandeep has the unique perspective of a first-generation immigrant, coupled with a career in science that requires pragmatic problem-solving. Most importantly, Sandeep is driven by a commitment to volunteer his time and gifts to our schools. While Sandeep is already a valuable leader in our community, his election to the School Committee would provide him with more ways to serve.
As a fellow Thoreau parent and member of the Board of the Concord Education Fund, I have worked closely with Sandeep for many years. Sandeep began his work in the schools in a financial capacity (as the Thoreau PTG Treasurer and, eventually simultaneously, the Treasurer of the Ed Fund), but his wisdom extends far beyond that of "keeping the books". Sandeep provides rational, measured input at meetings, but isn't afraid to get into the weeds as well. Sandeep is an available and responsive committee member, one who I have come to rely on consistently. He's both a visionary and a "do-er", which is a valuable skill-set that few possess. Sandeep is a quiet but effective leader, and would be a fantastic addition to the existing Committee.
I strongly urge my fellow Concord residents to consider casting their vote for Sandeep for School Committee this April. Our community depends on the rational, measured leadership that Sandeep will provide.
Sincerely,
Mari Alexander
